The characteristics of geoscience research funding by foreign science foundations, funding profile of geoscience, funding patterns and measures for balanced disciplinary development are studied. This project also makes an analysis of the funding allocation model and management strategies of foreign science foundations in the aspects of foreign scientific research projects, research conditions, personnel training, etc.
