On Sep. 11th-13th 2009, Chinese-USA Librarian Advanced Study Class was held in lanzhou university library Hall. As an important part of Chiniese-USA librarian communicaiting program, the class is hosted by the Culture Department of P.R.China, American president art humanity committee and American Library & Museum Association, co-hosted by Library Society of China, Library of Gansu Province, Lanzhou Branch of National Science Library of P.R.China, Lanzhou University Library, Library Sociaty of Gansu Province, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Library and Chinese Librarians Association. More than 160 librarians in gansu province participated this class.

　　During the class, experts from library of congress (US), New York Public Library, Western Kentucky University Library, Asian Library of University of Illinois introduced the characteristics, law & policy, system, management, service, public relationship of US public libraries.
