University of Delaware (University of Delaware), Assistant Professor Dr. Afton Clarke-Sather was invited by Qu Jiansheng, who is professor of Lanzhou Branch of National Science Library on 19-28 June, carried out academic exchanges and cooperative research on carbon emissions and climate policy, arid zone agriculture green water policies with climate change and the ecological and hydrological research group in Lanzhou Branch Library.
In visiting period, Clarke-Sather gave a report about Geography research methods and progress, titled “Approaches to Human-Environment Research in Contemporary American Geography”, all the people of information research department and business backbone of related department, a total of more than 20 people involved in the academic lectures. Dr. Clarke-Sather combined with his research work and experience, specifically systematic introduced to the forefront of the theory and method of the relationship between people and geography from theory to practice in the study of American Geography. The whole lecture detailed, easily understood, during which everyone hotspot a lively and in-depth discussed and exchanged about the lecture, relevant scientific issues, as well as current international research with Dr. Clarke-Sather.
