The Tenth Library Science Symposium of Five Provinces and Regions in Northwest China was held in the City of Lanzhou, Gansu Province from October 12 to 15, 2010. The theme of the symposium was Cooperation, Service, Development with the aim of enhancing cooperation and exchange among libraries of the five provinces and autonomous regions, expanding service scope and deepening the level of service, promoting good and fast development of the library undertaking in the five provinces and autonomous regions. Librarians from Lanzhou Branch Library participated in the symposium with 8 papers, three of which were awarded 1st Prize of Excellent Papers, and four of which were awarded 2nd Prize of Excellent Papers. The library presented the greatest number of papers, which reflects the academic position in the regions.
